I am so happy that you have decided to give your life to God. Know that God loves you more than life itself. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” God made you one of a kind and there was absolutely nothing you had to do for Him to love you unconditionally.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23). Don’t feel like you have to come to God when you figure everything out. I can truly tell you from experience that God alone is the only one that has life figured out. So come to God just as you are, sinner and all. Nobody is perfect and God doesn’t expect you to be. Come to God will all your baggage and allow Him to declutter you.
We have all sinned, and I mean everybody, and we all deserve God’s judgment but “For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him” (John 3:16). “Jesus never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He suffered. Jesus left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. Jesus personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right” (1 Peter 2:22-24).
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, overcoming death, something no one else has ever done, and “Jesus is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us” (Romans 8:34). “Jesus saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5).
It is more than we could ever imagine, seriously. God loves us more than we could ever love someone else. His love and forgiveness are infinite! No matter what we have done in our lives or how reckless we have been God offers to forgive us all because He loves us and “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
In spite of all of our sins, God loves us. He just loves us. I know that with the world we are expected to do things in order to receive love and happiness but that is not God; there is no catch with God, He simply just loves us all and wants us to receive His love. “God has loved you, with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).
Salvation is for EVERYONE
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trust in Him will never be disgraced” (Romans 10-:9-11). For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
“Repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
If you are ready to receive Jesus into your life and aren’t sure what to pray, here is a sample prayer:
Lord Jesus, I confess with my mouth that I am a sinner and I am turning away from my sins. I believe in my heart that you died on the cross for me because you love me and you paid the price for my sins. I believe that you rose from the grave on the third day and you are sitting on the right side of the Father. Jesus, I confess and receive that You are my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and take complete control. I can’t do life without You. You are all that I need. I give my life to You and I put my faith and trust in You, and You alone. Thank You for saving me and loving me regardless of what I have done. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me. I will do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
